Treadmill Training and Use:

Never attempt to self teach your canine on your home treadmill as it is very DANGEROUS!!
Human treadmills have a number of danger zones for dogs.
You can create a phobia and or seriously injure your dog.

It is the closest thing to 'running with the pack'. 
It gives your dog simultaneous mental and physical exercise. 
When done right, there is nothing as exhausting.
It is also used as a form of physical therapy for dog injuries, sprains, and more.
